What EdenLens keeps, and for how long.
This page covers edenlens.com. The Mac, iPad and iPhone apps carry their own notice inside the app. Last revised 8 September 2026.
The free check.
When you run the free check, the website address you enter is sent to EdenLens's server on Cloudflare, which fetches that site's homepage, robots.txt and sitemap and computes the result. The result for that address is kept for fifteen minutes so a repeat check does not fetch the site again, then it expires. The address is not linked to you, and nothing about you is stored with it.

The Mac waitlist.
If you join the waitlist, EdenLens keeps your email address, the date you joined and which platform you asked about. It is used for one purpose: one email when the Mac app is released. It is not shared, sold or used for anything else, and no message goes out before that release. To be removed, email the address below and it will be deleted within seven days.
Identifying a business.
The EdenLens apps build their reports on your own machine. One step is the exception, and it is worth being exact about. When you identify a business by name, that name is sent to edenlens.com, which asks the Companies House public register and the map services on the app's behalf and passes the candidates back. The register issues one key per application and rate limits it, and a key shipped inside an app that anyone can download can be lifted out of it, so the key stays on the server and the request goes through us.
Nothing about that request is logged: not the name, not who asked, not when. The register's answer is kept for one day so that repeating a search does not spend the shared rate limit twice, and it is stored under a one-way hash of the name, so what sits in storage is public register information rather than a readable list of who searched for what. Companies House receives the search term, as it would if you typed it into their own website, and their handling of it is theirs.
What EdenLens does not do.
- No cookies are set by edenlens.com, and no analytics or advertising scripts load.
- No account is needed for the free check, and none is created.
- Nothing you type into the free check goes to any third party except Cloudflare, which hosts the site and runs the verification challenge as a processor. A business name typed into the apps to identify a company reaches the public register, as described above, and nowhere else.
Hosting and processing.
The website and its small services run on Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare processes requests on EdenLens's behalf and keeps the operational logs a hosting provider needs, under its own terms. The waitlist is stored in Cloudflare's key-value storage; the cached check results expire on their own.
Your rights.
You can ask what EdenLens holds about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to its use. Write to steven@integratedsynergyconsulting.com. If you are not satisfied with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes.
When this page changes, the revision date at the top changes with it. Material changes are noted on the homepage for thirty days.
