Free SEO, AEO and GEO website audit

Free website audit for search engines and AI assistants

Enter one address. EdenLens reads the page, robots.txt and the sitemap, then reports up to three verified problems, each with its evidence, the lines that repair it and the test that proves the repair worked. No signup, about a minute, no score.

How the free audit works

  1. 01

    Enter the address

A homepage or any public page. No account, nothing to install.

  2. 02

    The engine reads three things

The page as a crawler receives it, robots.txt, and /sitemap.xml. It also opens every profile the page declares.

  3. 03

You get the problems that matter first

Foundations before polish. Each problem carries numbered evidence and a link to its repair.

What the free audit checks

Four foundations

Each one is a gate: if it fails, nothing downstream can work.

  • Secure connection. The site is served over HTTPS and stays there.
  • Search access. The page answers normally and is not withheld from search engines by a noindex directive or by robots.txt.
  • AI crawler access. robots.txt does not block the crawlers that fetch pages for ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity answers. Training crawlers are reported as a choice, not a fault.
  • Readable content. The words arrive in the HTML itself, not only after JavaScript runs.

Business identity

Whether the page states who the business is in machine-readable form (an Organization or LocalBusiness node with name, address, contact and web address, and opening hours for a place), and whether the profiles it declares open and name the same business.

Three readiness readings

Search engine optimisation (SEO), answer engine optimisation (AEO) and generative engine optimisation (GEO), each as a count of signals present against the number tested. A count, never a percentage or a grade.

In all, the free audit reads 10 of the 40 criteria in the EdenLens method. The other 30 need more than one page, or the owner's own accounts.

Why up to three problems, and no score

A score adds together things that are not the same size. A blocked crawler and a long title do not deserve the same weight, and a number hides which one you have. EdenLens reports problems in the order they block each other, foundations first, and stops at three, because three you can fix this week is more use than forty you will not.

A clean result is reported as clean. Not every website needs paid work, and the audit says so when it does not.

What a one-page audit cannot see

  • Site-wide consistency beyond the page checked
  • Whether the pages answer the questions customers actually ask
  • Whether the business identity agrees across registers, maps and profiles beyond the ones the page declares
  • Whether search engines and assistants actually reach the site, which needs server logs
  • Whether assistants mention or cite the business today

Anything it could not see is left unassessed, never counted as a failure.

Example results

All four are invented businesses. Each page is the engine's own output, published so it can be read without running a check.

Who it is for

Business owners

To find out whether the services that now answer customers' questions can read the website at all, before paying anyone to change it.

Developers and agencies

An independent finding with numbered evidence, to settle what needs doing on a client site and to prove afterwards that it was done. The repair pages give the exact lines.

When one page is not enough

Pro Review, £695 once: all forty criteria across the site, every finding verified and signed by a person, and a call. Launch, £295 once: a ninety-day programme for a site starting with very little in place. The free audit stays free, and so do the repairs.

Questions

Is the audit really free?

Yes. No account, no email address, no trial. The result is kept for fifteen minutes so a reload does not run it twice, then discarded.

Does it check AI visibility?

It checks readiness: whether assistants are allowed to fetch the site and whether a machine can read and identify the business from it. It does not ask the assistants whether they mention you, because one answer on one day is an anecdote, not a measurement.

How is it different from audits that run a hundred or more checks?

Those count checks; this counts verified problems. Every line here is computed from your own site, cites its evidence and links to a repair, and nothing is reported that the audit could not prove.
